X55 Extended Aluminium Arm - RED - For DJI F450 / DJI F550
I got 4 of these extended arms along with 4 of the X5C coaxial Motor Mounts to make X8 based on a HoverBot 7 Frame.
As a machinist myself, I can see the thought that has gone into the design and the attention to detail.
The arms are very well machined and finished along with a quality anodising, the same is true on the X5C mounts.
Looking at them, I have no idea how how he could make them for the cost, as I know I could not!
The 2 parts are connected with 4 2,5mm countersunk socket head screws, and when in place line up with no mismatch at all.
They can accommodate motors with hole patterns sizes 16mm to 25mm, this is great as the larger slow motors can be fitted.
The only problems I encountered (and this is specific to myself with my build) is that, although you can get a motor with a 25mm hole pattern on a single arm when you come to turn it into a coaxial you cannot get the 4 screw in as the motor overhangs. (The motor i used was a T-Motor 3508 700kv) It would help if the maximum motor size for coaxial use was stated.
As I had already purchased the motors I had to find a solution, and that was to drill 4 M2.5 holes on each side of the arm and the same matching on the X5C, I then made a 1.5mm thick aluminium plate with 4 holes in to match the ones in the arm/X5C that I had drilled. I cut the heads off the 4 M2.5 screws and used them to locate the X5C then clamped the side plates on.
This worked well and looks quite good.
A great product and well thought out, just need a little more info on product page.

Very nice arms, precise production, ideal conectivity with frame element from DJI or TBS. The only point is that it is better to make an order withaout any forwarding companies. Provided shipping is very fast.

I bought four of these arms along with four X5Cs for my F450 coaxial octocopter build. These arms replace ones I ordered from the US which I originally used on an F550 build. Unlike my previous arms, the Aeroxcraft arms use M2.5 screws, exactly like the ones from DJI. Great if you are upgrading, but I personally prefer the M3 hex nuts I have used previously. I also found it a little challenging fitting T-Motor MN-3110-17 motors - but Lee from Aeoxcraft has been really helpful. All in all these arms are well made, but what really stands out is the professional level of support Aeroxcraft gives its customers. Well done, and I can't wait to fly my F450 coax octocopter!

A precision upgrade for my 550. These extended arms with larger motors and props turned my 550 into a power machine, increasing fly weight, stability, agility, and better video quality. High quality material and manufacture.
